About Dave Blyth - Automotive Artist
Dave Blyth is an International professional automotive artist based in New Zealand.
He was born in the late 50's and has always been a designer and illustrator. In the late 70's Dave started a custom paint shop when the airbrush craze was at it's peak. Dave painted murals, flames and stripes on Hot Rods, custom vans and custom cars.
In the 80s Dave moved to California and switched to Hot Rod paint scheme designer and worked with Hot Rod icon Boyd Coddington and later Adams Rod Shop in Florida.
In the 1990s Dave became a portrait artist and specialised mostly in Ferrari art. Ferrari magazine featured Dave as one of the top 5 Ferrari artists in the world in the early 1990s and Dave's artwork can be found in some of the world's best Ferrari collections.
In the 2000's Dave started a web design business specialising in car websites but his passion remains with automotive art.
